For the fourth year in a row, Kusmi Tea is committing to helping women in the fight against breast cancer. Throughout October, a percentage of profits from the Sweet Love range and all sales from the Chantal Thomass bag will be donated to the Le Cancer du Sein, Parlons-en ! charity. But that’s not all. The Kusmi teams are also contributing to helping breast cancer research!
A shared struggle, all committed
Femininity, Determination, Together, Testing, Research, Defeating, Fighting, Healing, Rebuilding, Helping, Dignity, Hope. All of these words represent Octobre Rose for Kusmi Tea and its employees. Women’s issues have always been important to the group, where 74% of staff are women. Every year during Octobre Rose, different internal communications efforts are made to raise awareness and rally co-workers. The whole company is taking part in the Octobre Rose campaign, including the teams in the Normandy workshops, the different services at the Paris headquarters, and all those working in stores across France. In total, more than 600 people have joined the fight.
Multiple initiatives to raise awareness and rally the public
As part of this year’s campaign, meetings with the Le Cancer du Sein, Parlons-en ! charity and renowned researchers were held in Paris and Le Havre. These opportunities to share and dialogue helped raise employee awareness about the illness and the importance of targeted research.
Several co-workers also courageously ran the 6-mile Odysséa race organized in Paris and the 3.5-mile Amazone race in Le Havre.
And it doesn’t stop there. The Kusmi teams were also encouraged to raise money through simple, collective efforts such as the Pink Photo Challenge (with a donation made for every team photo taken on the theme of Octobre Rose), and the Pink Tombola (a chance to win one of 100 prizes by purchasing tickets, the profits of which were donated to the charity).
As mothers, daughters, friends, colleagues, or partners, we are all affected by breast cancer in some way. And at Kusmi, we are all committed to supporting research and continuing to hope.
