Kocktails by Kusmi: Kusmojito and Kusmilady

Kusmojito and Kusmilady

Summer is well and truly here, and the hot weather with it! In an effort to quench your thirst, Kusmi Tea has revisited its renowned iced teas to create its very own Kocktails! These easy-to-make recipes are perfect for all your summer parties. Today, we are introducing two new creations: the Kusmojito and the Kusmilady.

It’s time to infuse your tea and prepare your ice cubes!

The Kusmojito

We have the famed seafarer Francis Drake, nicknamed El Draque (“The Dragon”), to thank for the original mojito recipe. This swashbuckler fell in love with the landscapes of Cuba, and created a highly fragrant, slightly sweet cocktail topped off with just a little acidity. This world-renowned cocktail is now one of the leading classics on any menu.

Now, grab your shakers and try out the Kusmi Tea version made with Spearmint Green Tea!

FOR 1 GLASS:

Pour the following into your shaker:

8cl Spearmint Green Tea
4cl rum*
2cl sugar cane syrup
1cl lime juice

Add:

5 mint leaves
4 ice cubes

Close your shaker and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds. Put a few ice cubes into a highball glass, pour in the mixture, and garnish with mint leaves.

TO MAKE A VIRGIN VERSION, use 12cl Spearmint Green Tea, 2cl sugar cane syrup, and 1cl lime juice.

The Kusmilady

The Pink Lady was developed in the 1930s and helped women liberate and stand up for themselves. Here, Kusmi Tea has revisited the cocktail while retaining its meaningful heritage.

This recipe is sweetened with a few lychees and rose petals to enchant your taste buds at your wild summer parties.
